Your new Role

As the Senior Site Superintendent, you will be accountable for the necessary planning and controls, and to direct and coordinate the work of subcontractors and the businesses' own forces on site. You will provide day-to-day leadership in managing the construction site, executing field operations in a safe and consistent manner, within time and budget. Your day-to-day job will consist of the following: providing safety leadership on site through the implementation and enforcement of the Safety Program, and monitoring the safety performance of subcontractors.
And the company’s staff; planning, scheduling, and controlling daily activities on site; ensuring the quality of subcontractors’ expertise and building materials supplied to site; ensuring sufficient workforce is provided to achieve safety, schedule, and quality objectives; managing project budget and billings; overseeing contract administration of RFIs, Submittals, Change Orders; fostering and maintaining positive relations and communication with clients, consultants, architects, and subcontractors.

What you’ll need to Succeed

To succeed as the Senior Superintendent – Heavy Civil, you will bring 10+ years’ experience in Water/ Wastewater construction. You will have a Professional Engineering or college degree in a related construction program. Gold Seal Certification is considered an asset. You will have direct site supervision of large-scale, valued 10-100 million water/ wastewater construction projects. You will have solid supervisory experience and be a mentor and motivator to your team. You will be able to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules. You will be a fantastic communicator. You will be eligible for security clearances and possess a valid driver’s license.
