Senior Facilities Manager, Vaughan, ON, $80,000

Your new role

  • Oversee property management of industrial sites, ensuring maintenance, tenant coordination, and compliance with safety regulations
  • Participate in capital planning and oversee long-term improvement and construction projects
  • Lead daily housekeeping operations, ensuring cleanliness and upkeep of restrooms, dining and event spaces, locker rooms, offices, and high-touch surfaces.
  • Manage HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, boilers, and golf cart charging systems.
  • Oversee service contracts (e.g., landscaping, pest control) and coordinate external contractor work.
  • Inspect and maintain building interiors: upholstery, carpets, tile, paint, windows, and wallpaper.
  • Develop and oversee a comprehensive preventative maintenance program, including detailed logs and regular equipment inspections.
  • Lead emergency response efforts with a clear escalation plan.
  • Stay informed on industry best practices and innovations by attending relevant workshops and conferences.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the management team.
  • Uphold a safety-sensitive approach across all locations, aligned with our fit-for-duty program.

What you'll need to succeed

  • 5–10 years of facility management experience, preferably in a hospitality, resort, or golf course setting.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and boiler systems.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, troubleshoot effectively, and lead maintenance and housekeeping teams.
  • Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting and manual labor.
  • Proficient in reading safety documents, hazard diagrams, and maintenance manuals.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
