Exciting Permanent Opportunity - Senior DevOps Engineer (API Management)

Your new company
Our client, a leading global chemistry company across US, Canada, Asia and Europe, is going through a Digital Transformation. They are building a Digital Hub for global business in Toronto city. Therefore, we are hiring multiple technology talents with the ambition to join the digital hub. Our client has earned various awards, including being recognized by Mediacorp as a Top Employer in Canada and the GTA in 2023, and for many consecutive years prior.

Your new role
  • Being responsible for the technical design and implementation of API-Proxies, while ensuring compliance with all relevant BASF development guidelines. Beyond that, you will support the respective testing and error correction activities.
  • Creating and further developing concepts for operation topics and implementing them in our team.
  • Consulting of projects on the setup of integration scenarios in API-Management.
  • Coaching and training colleagues in the development of APIs.
  • Investigating new tools on the market and checking how they can support BASF in their digital strategy.
What you'll need to succeed
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience, with focus on agile methodologies.
  • Expertise in API design, implementation, and documentation, emphasizing security.
  • Knowledge of OAuth, Swagger/OpenAPI Specification, JSON, and programming in JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Apigee Edge, SAP API Gateway, Azure API Proxy, Azure DevOps, and Confluence.
  • Experience in programming languages as Javascript.
  • Familiarity with digital technologies such as Power BI, Drupal, Docker, Kubernetes.
