Senior Accounting role for a leading manufacturer

An industry leader in manufacturing, known for its high-quality production and innovation, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team.

Your new role

  • Assist with comprehensive financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, tailored to the manufacturing sector.
  • Engage in rigorous audits, including annual external audits, and ensure compliance with manufacturing standards.
  • Prepare detailed working paper reconciliations for significant General Ledger accounts, reflecting manufacturing transactions.
  • Analyze General Ledger accounts to validate manufacturing costs and resolve variances efficiently.
  • Manage inventory adjustments, including accurate posting of physical counts, is crucial for manufacturing operations.
  • Conduct weekly bank reconciliations and prepare cash forecasts, essential for maintaining the financial flow in manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with various departments to reconcile intercompany accounts, ensuring seamless financial integration across the manufacturing process.
  • Oversee various currency exchange rates and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage asset schedules, including depreciation and amortization.
  • Handle recurring financial entries as directed.
  • Execute payroll accounting in a specified ERP system and compile reports.
  • Oversee specific customs processes.
  • Ensure timely tax and workers’ compensation payments and filings.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Professional accounting certification or relevant experience.
  • At least three years in a general accounting role.
  • Familiarity with customs processes and payroll.
  • Experience with specific tax processes in multiple regions.
  • Problem-solving abilities with a focus on process improvement.
  • Experience with MS Dynamics, Great Plains, SAP or SYSPRO is a must.
  • MS Excel (Advanced - Expert level) (Macros, V Lookups etc.)
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to deadlines.
  • Team-oriented with a positive outlook.
