Sales Executive Opportunity in the HVAC Controls industry!

Your new company

Our client is a long-standing provider of smart home tech, HVAC controls, and building automation solutions, working with clients across British Columbia and beyond. For decades, they have been helping create commercial spaces, from hotels to upscale residential buildings and specialized facilities like labs and healthcare centres. The focus is on blending innovation with practical solutions that make everyday environments smarter and more sustainable.

Your new role

In this role you will help drive business growth by finding new opportunities, preparing estimates and bids, and negotiating contracts. The role involves working closely with internal teams—like sales, project management, and service—as well as external partners such as consultants, contractors, and suppliers to deliver smart, competitive solutions. You’ll be responsible for reviewing project scopes, developing pricing strategies, and ensuring proposals are accurate and aligned with client needs. Building relationships is key—whether it’s engaging with consultants to influence specs, negotiating with vendors for better pricing, or following up with customers to close deals. A solid understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical and electrical drawings, and strong skills in Microsoft Office and spreadsheets are essential. This role suits someone who’s detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in roles such as Sales Engineer, DDC/BMS Technician, Account Executive, or Controls Engineer. You’re highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong time management and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision are essential. You’ll need excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—and the confidence to deliver clear, engaging presentations. A collaborative mindset is key, as you’ll work closely with both field and office teams. You should be comfortable making informed decisions independently, while also knowing when to consult with others. A creative approach and a willingness to suggest improvements are highly valued.

What you'll get in return

In this role, you’ll enjoy a competitive base salary ranging from ($80K to $110K) + Commission, comprehensive benefits package that includes extended health coverage and paid vacation. You’ll be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team that values innovation, supports professional growth, and offers a healthy balance of autonomy and mentorship.
