A large organization in Downtown Vancouver is looking to add a Receptionist to their team.


Your new role

We are looking for a dedicated and professional Receptionist to join our national team. The successful candidate will be welcoming, professional, and friendly.

  • Welcome in-person arrivals/in-bound telephone calls, greeting each person quickly in a friendly and professional manner;
  • Be a part of a community workplace dedicated to knowing and supporting all professionals;
  • Communicate clearly and professionally;
  • Stay updated on anticipated bookings and events;
  • Proactively address and resolve any issues that arise;
  • Possess and display a strong client service attitude;
  • Manage the firm’s event management system in coordination with the national team;
  • Maintain attendee logs;
  • Ensure confidentiality and security for all users of the space;
  • Keep accurate documentation for reporting and service;
  • Assist with logistics and scheduling special events;
  • Foster strong client relationships related to the use of the Conference Centre;
  • Keep up to date on firm changes and people to support client requests professionally and efficiently;
  • Adhere to catering, security, health, and safety policies;
  • Activate and follow emergency protocols as required and report security matters to management;
  • Be actively involved in the maintenance and care of the Conference Centre; and
  • Work closely with other departments to create a comfortable working environment


What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum of High School Diploma;
  • 3–5 years of related experience in a similar role;
  • Professional certification and/or experience in Travel and Tourism, Hospitality and Hotel management;
  • Fluent in English;
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and customer service focus;
  • Strong professional demeanour and appearance;
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office;
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills;
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines;
  • Effective problem-solving skills, discretion, and patience;
  • Strong process orientation and ability to recommend improvements; and
  • Critical thinking skills for day-to-day decisions
