Your new company
A successful and growing Financial Services organization in Edmonton has an immediate need for a new Manager of Policy and Reporting as part of the Compliance department.
Your new role
Duties of the position include reviewing and amending policy drafts and proposing suggestions to improve the effects of existing policies. The Policy and Reporting Manager also works closely with stakeholders to determine the goals and objectives of policies.

Responsibilities:Provides guidance to stakeholders in policy development, implementation, and monitoring by proactively identifying policy requirements, formulating, and implementing policy changes and continuously updating policies. Determine the benefits and drawbacks of existing policies. Propose suggestions to improve the effects of policies. Write and edit board-level policies and frameworks using the Bank’s Meta-Policy, Meta-Framework and Clear Language Standards. Liaise with stakeholders to determine the needs and goals of policies. Gather data and produce reports on the qualitative and quantitative analysis, including Key Risk Indicators. Prepare and present reports on compliance activities to internal stakeholders, external regulators, and relevant committees on a regular and ad-hoc basis. Develop strategic summaries, dashboards, infographics, and reports, to facilitate senior management, board, and HQ reporting. Conduct periodic data analysis and KRI monitoring in support of reporting obligations. Participate in the coordination of external reporting to regulators. All other duties as assigned.

Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong analytical abilities to review and interpret policies, guidelines, and regulations. Strategic and critical thinking, accountability, teamwork and collaboration. Proactive self-learner and active listener. Risk awareness and curious mindset. Ability to proactively plan and prioritize education requirements
Bachelor’s degree Policy Management certification or designation would be an asset. Competence in MS Office - Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Word and other basic technical skills preferred.
