JOB SUMMARY:
A Leasing Associate leads the sales efforts of an apartment community, attaining leasing goals while building rapport with prospects and residents. The Leasing Associate generates interest while taking an active role in the external marketing and advertising of vacancies. The Leasing Associate provides a positive and lasting influence on visitors, prospects and residents, highlighting the quality of our community.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Tour prospects and answer questions about the property, amenities, and the local community.
• Explain lease information, qualify prospects and build interest to drive the lease closing process.
• Complete lease/renewal paperwork to ensure compliance to company standards.
• Ensure and monitor all traffic entering CRM/Inbound Channels to track leasing activities.
• Walk apartment units prior to showings for prospects and occupancy by residents.
• Deliver 5-star service to residents to exceed their expectations, while maintaining resident retention.
• Perform required office activities and coordinate paperwork related to leasing with organization, planning and a great attention to detail.
• Maintain renter’s insurance compliance per company policies and procedures.
• Submit daily, weekly and monthly leasing activity reports, as required.
• Shop competition to keep abreast of local market conditions and submit Weekly Market Survey.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

SKILLS:
• Effective communication and customer service skills
• Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficient in Yardi property management software.
• General office, bookkeeping and sales skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

EDUCATION:
• High School diploma or equivalent. Prior leasing experience and/or Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
