A privately owned Development and Construction Management company, with a focus on multifamily wood frame projects in Vancouver, is looking to hire a Junior Construction Manager. They are looking for a candidate who is focused on growing within their organization. This role will give the successful candidate a high level of exposure to the entire construction process, as well as mentorship opportunities from senior industry professionals.

Your new role

Your core responsibilities will focus on assisting the Construction Manager and will include management of the tender process, administration of all project documentation, regular participation in site, client, project planning and trade meetings.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role you will be someone who has had a minimum 3-5 years construction experience, along with a relevant technical background. A preference will be given to those candidates with multifamily development exposure. Strong interpersonal and organization skills are extremely important. Excellent relationships with sub trades and contractors are a pillar of this clients business model. You will have the ability to confidently perform detailed quantity take-offs, as well as have experience in contract administration, contract shop drawing review and document management. Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Auto CAD, MS Excel and Timberline is also required.
