Your new role

The successful candidate will take on the role of Electrical Coordinator, serving as the central point for all electrical documentation and coordination on projects. This position demands more than just administrative tasks; it requires active involvement in shaping project outcomes. The Electrical Coordinator will be responsible for the entire Request for Information (RFI) process, from intelligently crafting inquiries to meticulously tracking their resolution. Similarly, they will manage submittals, ensuring they are comprehensive and approved in a timely manner. A critical aspect of this role will be managing changes, which includes proactively identifying them, assessing their impact, and ensuring they are properly documented and communicated. The Coordinator will apply their strong electrical background daily, providing essential technical support and maintaining impeccable document control across all project phases.

What you'll need to succeed

To excel in this position, the Electrical Coordinator will need a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in an electrical coordination or similar role within the construction industry. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a proven ability to independently prepare and manage RFIs and submittals, showcasing a deep understanding of the process beyond simple submission. Strong experience in managing project changes and seeing actions through to resolution is essential. Their electrical background, whether from a CET designation or significant practical work experience, will be key to their success. The individual must possess comprehensive document control experience, capable of maintaining organized and accessible project files. Excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are required. While not mandatory, CAD/BIM proficiency will be considered a significant asset.
