Your new role
  • Provide design support, analysis, and troubleshooting for experimental power systems.
  • These systems include medium voltage AC power distribution, multi-MW AC/DC thyristor converter systems, hardwired control systems, DC current measurement systems, protection systems, and DC distribution (up to 6 kV).
  • Create drawings for plant general arrangements, power single-line diagrams, P&IDs, control system architecture drawings, and instrument and I/O schedules.
  • Produce documentation such as user requirement specifications, control philosophies, tender documentation, and price schedules.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; plus one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  • 2-5 yrs. of experience designing electric panels for electronics.
  • Proven experience in industrial automation systems projects.
  • Strong skills in PLC programming for machine controls and process controls
  • Experience with Allen Bradley Rockwell and Siemens PLC, HMI and VFD systems required
  • Fluent English.
  • Knowledge in the ISA symbology standard.
  • Able to read and review control panel drawings.
  • Knowledge in batch routines.
  • Knowledge in industrial networks.
  • Knowledge in database.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
