Property Management Organization In Etobicoke Seeking Community Manager for 6-Month Contract
Your new company
A growing property management company is seeking a
Community Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will oversee administrative and maintenance staff at a residential property, ensuring smooth daily operations. This is a contract position. You will be working full-time hours Monday-Friday. This is a 6-month contract.
Your new role
- Supervise and coordinate the work of staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings and residential units, addressing any necessary maintenance or improvements.
- Provide direction to housekeeping and maintenance teams.
- Develop maintenance schedules.
- Oversee routine and preventive maintenance programs, coordinating with external contractors when needed.
- Manage contractor relations, obtain quotes, and ensure service quality
- Assist with leasing efforts, including processing applications, reviewing tenancy agreements, and conducting reference checks.
- Handle rental processes, including rent collection, banking procedures, and issuing notices for late payments or other required actions.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in a similar role, handling tenant relations or residential property management (usually obtained over 3+ years of experience)
- Previous Yardi experience
- Ability to lead and support a team effectively.
- Understanding of regulations and best practices in property management.
- Familiarity with building operations, including maintenance and system functionality.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency with MS Office and property management tools.
- Strong organizational skills, including multitasking and time management.
