Property Management Organization In Etobicoke Seeking Community Manager for 6-Month Contract

Your new company

A growing property management company is seeking a
Community Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will oversee administrative and maintenance staff at a residential property, ensuring smooth daily operations. This is a contract position. You will be working full-time hours Monday-Friday. This is a 6-month contract.

Your new role

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Conduct regular inspections of buildings and residential units, addressing any necessary maintenance or improvements.
  • Provide direction to housekeeping and maintenance teams.
  • Develop maintenance schedules.
  • Oversee routine and preventive maintenance programs, coordinating with external contractors when needed.
  • Manage contractor relations, obtain quotes, and ensure service quality
  • Assist with leasing efforts, including processing applications, reviewing tenancy agreements, and conducting reference checks.
  • Handle rental processes, including rent collection, banking procedures, and issuing notices for late payments or other required actions.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in a similar role, handling tenant relations or residential property management (usually obtained over 3+ years of experience)
  • Previous Yardi experience
  • Ability to lead and support a team effectively.
  • Understanding of regulations and best practices in property management.
  • Familiarity with building operations, including maintenance and system functionality.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and property management tools.
  • Strong organizational skills, including multitasking and time management.
