The opportunity :

The analyst provides essential support across financial and operational areas. Responsibilities include validating IT invoices, managing accruals, coordinating cost allocation,
analyzing budget variances, generating reports, maintaining financial data, reconciling accounts, assisting with closing tasks, and conducting ad-hoc analyses.

What you will do :
  • Provide support to the controllers for IT and Operations, Support Functions, and Financing Activities. This would include daily and month-end close processes.
  • Validate monthly IT invoices and ensure correct booking in tracking system
  • Maintain a month end accrual file for the IT and Operations departments
  • Prepare the monthly internal invoicing of IT costs and coordinate with the Sourcing and Procurement team to ensure all expenses are allocated to projects
  • Interface with the Sourcing and Procurement team to complete the monthly forecast of IT project costs
  • Prepare written analysis of significant variances to budget for IT and Operations on a monthly and year to date basis

Support Function Support

  • Prepare Monthly P&L reports for support functions
  • Maintain the referential database of the financial hierarchy
Financing Activities Support

  • Create general ledger entries as needed
  • Perform monthly account reconciliation and confirmation of financing activities
  • Assist with clearing of account balances related to radical closings
  • Provide general ledger details for select business units on a monthly basis

General Support
Perform ad-hoc analyses as required.

Qualifications :
  • Bachelor in Finance or Accounting
  • 3-5 years of experience in similar functions
  • Ability to analyze and summarize information
  • Ability to prioritize effectively
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to work successfully in a team
  • Adaptability to changing environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Effectiveness at decision making
  • English is mandatory, French is highly desired.
