Your new role
In this role, you will be interpreting and developing design concepts from design development through to contract documents. You will prepare specifications, construction docs, and building permits, assist with contract administration, give technical direction to other staff, while overseeing project work plans, budgets, and design schedules. You will also be the liaison for clients, consultants and City officials.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have at least 10+ years of local experience in BC creating construction drawings. You will have a Building or Architectural Technology Certificate or equivalent experience. You must also have a high proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop and InDesign. You will have the ability to coordinate complex projects with a range of consultants, working knowledge of BC Building Codes and bylaws, and a demonstrated understanding of building materials and technology. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of supporting senior staff on multiple projects, with the ability to work independently and part of a team.
