A well-established and growing organization is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their Accounting & Finance team in Cambridge. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working with numbers, systems, and vendors.
Your New Role
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts-payable transactions. You will manage vendor relationships, support audits, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and ensure timely payments.
- Manage vendor accounts and perform regular reconciliations.
- Escalate supplier credit hold issues to internal stakeholders.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain accurate records.
- Enter and process invoices in a multi-currency, multi-entity ERP system.
- Generate monthly reports and support audit-related activities.
- Assist with intercompany transactions and other finance-related tasks.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- 3+ years of experience in a high-volume accounts payable environment.
- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business administration.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with SAP is considered an asset.
