Your New Role
Reporting to the Administration and Finance Department, you will make an indispensable contribution to your department. In this position, you will have to ensure compliance with administrative policies and procedures. You will manage, coordinate, control and supervise the human resources under your responsibility in reception, accounting, and data entry. As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for
  • Provide team management, coordinate work and train staff responsible for billable projects.
  • Respond in a timely manner to concerns and questions raised by staff and create an action plan to correct course.
  • Analyze all customer and supplier data and make the necessary adjustments and follow-ups.
  • Prepare claims at various levels of government.
  • Ensure that the working tools in place are up to date and mastered.
  • Raise any concerns with the Director of Finance.
  • Carry out the complete accounting cycle.
  • Approve expenses and accounting entries.
  • Approve the monthly analyzes of the balance sheet carried out by the employees and make the necessary modifications.
  • Collaborate in the preparation of financial statements.
  • Support external auditors.
  • Also ensured a decision-making role in EOS during emergency operations in Quebec

What you need to succeed:
  • Hold a college diploma in accounting or a university certificate in management.
  • Have at least five years of accounting experience.
  • Have between one and three years of experience in personnel management.
  • A combination of relevant experiences could be considered.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Pay attention to detail and demonstrate strong analytical skills.
  • Excel in problem solving.
  • Fluency in French and English.
  • Master the Office suite, particularly Outlook, and have advanced skills in Excel.
  • Have experience importing Excel files.
  • Proficiency in Dynamics AX is an asset.
