With over two decades of experience and a strong presence across Manitoba and Ontario, they are known for their innovative approach, technical excellence, and commitment to delivering high-quality commercial and institutional projects. As they continue to expand into new markets, they are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Estimator to join their team.

The Role :

As an Estimator, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of tendering and proposal development for a wide range of building envelope projects—from small-scale repairs to large, complex institutional builds. You’ll work closely with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure accurate, timely, and competitive bids.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end estimating process: take-offs, drawing/spec review, supplier pricing, bid closing, and follow-up
  • Act as the first point of contact for clients and general contractors during the bidding process
  • Develop project budgets and design proposals for new and existing clients
  • Identify new market opportunities, products, and customer segments
  • Support business development and contribute to strategic growth initiatives
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all estimates and documentation
  • Occasionally assist with project coordination and management post-award

Key Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in construction estimating, ideally in commercial, institutional, or industrial sectors
  • Strong understanding of architectural and structural drawings
  • Experience with building envelope systems, cladding, sheet metal, or roofing is a strong asset.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple bids simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CAD, Homefront, or BuildPro is a plus
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to meet tight deadlines
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (for Winnipeg-based candidates)

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary: $50,000 – $110,000+, depending on experience
  • Annual performance bonus
  • Health Spending Account
  • Pension contributions (negotiable)
  • Paid vacation
  • Opportunities for career progression, profit-sharing, and future partnership (not guaranteed but possible for the right candidate)
  • Flexible work arrangements available for high-performing individuals
