Our client is currently seeking a Senior Estimator to join their team in Winnipeg.
About the Company:
Our client is a fast-growing, entrepreneurial construction firm specializing in building envelope solutions, including architectural cladding and insulated wall/roof assemblies. With over two decades of experience and a strong presence across Manitoba and Ontario, they are known for their innovative approach, technical excellence, and commitment to delivering high-quality commercial and institutional projects. As they continue to expand into new markets, they are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Estimator to join their team.
The Role :
As an Estimator, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of tendering and proposal development for a wide range of building envelope projects—from small-scale repairs to large, complex institutional builds. You’ll work closely with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure accurate, timely, and competitive bids.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end estimating process: take-offs, drawing/spec review, supplier pricing, bid closing, and follow-up
- Act as the first point of contact for clients and general contractors during the bidding process
- Develop project budgets and design proposals for new and existing clients
- Identify new market opportunities, products, and customer segments
- Support business development and contribute to strategic growth initiatives
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all estimates and documentation
- Occasionally assist with project coordination and management post-award
Key Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in construction estimating, ideally in commercial, institutional, or industrial sectors
- Strong understanding of architectural and structural drawings
- Experience with building envelope systems, cladding, sheet metal, or roofing is a strong asset.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple bids simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CAD, Homefront, or BuildPro is a plus
- Willingness to work flexible hours to meet tight deadlines
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (for Winnipeg-based candidates)
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary: $50,000 – $110,000+, depending on experience
