About The Role
The successful candidate will review project drawings, specifications, and documentation to develop precise cost estimates. They will perform quantity take-offs and analyze costs associated with materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractors. They will be responsible for preparing and submitting detailed proposals and bid packages. The role involves soliciting and evaluating quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. The estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients throughout the bidding process to ensure clarity and alignment. They will also maintain and update historical cost data to support bench-marking and future estimating efforts. Additionally, they will support project handovers and assist in the transition from estimating to execution.


What You Need
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in electrical estimating or a related role.
They must possess a strong understanding of electrical systems, relevant codes, and construction practices. Proficiency in estimating software such as Accubid, Trimble, or similar platforms is essential. The candidate should demonstrate excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. They must also have solid analytical and mathematical abilities. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team is required. A diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is considered an asset.

What You Will Receive
The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $120,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
The role includes two weeks of paid vacation per year and one week of paid sick leave annually. Employees will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, life insurance, and long-term disability coverage under the company’s group benefits plan. Occasional travel may be required as part of the role. All reasonable and necessary work-related expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with company policy.
