Your new role

As the Tax Director, reporting directly to the VP of Finance, you will oversee all taxation activities across the organization. Your role will be critical in ensuring compliance with tax regulations, optimizing the company’s tax position, and supporting strategic business decisions through effective tax planning and risk management.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Preparing and reviewing tax provisions and filings to ensure accuracy and timely submission
  • Managing tax compliance processes and coordinating with external tax advisors and auditors
  • Identifying and mitigating tax-related risks while maintaining robust internal controls
  • Developing and implementing tax strategies to optimize tax benefits and minimize liabilities
  • Advising internal stakeholders on tax implications of business initiatives and transactions
  • Leading and coordinating tax audits and managing communications with tax authorities
  • Driving process improvements and leveraging technology to enhance tax operations
  • Supporting various ad hoc and strategic projects as needed
This is a full-time, 100% on-site position based in Montréal-Est, QC.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, Master’s in Taxation, or In-Depth Tax Program is an asset)
  • 3–5 years of experience in corporate tax functions
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian tax regulations and corporate tax compliance
  • Ability to research complex tax issues and provide clear, strategic guidance
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments
  • Experience with tax software (e.g., CaseWare, Taxprep) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • US tax experience is an asset but not required.
