Position Overview
This fast-growing software company is seeking a strategic and growth-oriented Head of Sales to lead its expansion, drive business development, and establish a strong market presence. This role presents a unique opportunity to shape the future of AEC technology while building a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership and Growth – Develop and implement business strategies to position the company as a market leader. Identify expansion opportunities and revenue growth initiatives.
- Sales and Business Development – Secure enterprise clients, establish strategic partnerships, and drive adoption of software solutions across the industry.
- Product and Technology Innovation – Oversee product strategy to ensure alignment with industry needs and leverage emerging technologies.
- Team Leadership and Culture – Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Financial and Operational Oversight – Manage budgeting, investor relations, and government funding strategies, including SR&ED credits and innovation grants.
Required Qualifications
- Leadership and Management – Minimum of 10 years in executive roles, with at least 5 years in a CEO, COO, VP, Head of sales or Managing Director position within a tech startup, AEC, or SaaS company.
- Sales and Business Development – Demonstrated success in driving revenue, securing B2B enterprise clients, and scaling a recurring revenue model.
- Financial and Investor Relations – Experience in fundraising, P&L management, and working with investors.
- Technology Expertise – Strong understanding of SaaS platforms, AI, cloud computing, and software development cycles.
- Government Funding and Tax Incentives – Experience securing Canadian grants, SR&ED credits, and other innovation funding opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent advanced degree in Business, Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in scaling a startup from early-stage development to profitability.
- Knowledge of intellectual property, software licensing, and technology commercialization.
- International business experience with a track record of expansion into global markets.
