Senior Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of 4–6-storey wood-frame apartment developments in Calgary. This role is ideal for a proactive leader with a strong background in residential construction and a passion for delivering high-quality projects on time and on budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Oversee all phases of project delivery from pre-construction through to occupancy.
  • Communication & Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between internal teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders. Ensure clear, timely, and effective communication.
  • Scheduling & Budgeting: Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans. Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
  • Team Management: Mentor and guide junior project staff, including Project Coordinators and Site Supervisors.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular updates to senior leadership.
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years in a Project Management role within the construction industry.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing multi-residential, townhome, or mid-rise wood-frame projects.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex residential projects on time and within budget.
  • Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
Required Skillsets
  • Communication: Clear, concise, and confident communicator with excellent listening skills.
  • Organization: Highly disciplined and detail-oriented with strong time management abilities.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite, especially Excel, and project management software.
  • Critical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative and analytical approach.
  • Energetic & Fast-Paced: Thrive in a dynamic environment and excel under pressure.
