Asphalt Plant Operator

Your new company

Our client is a heavy civil construction company with over seventy-five years of experience in heavy civil construction, road building, asphalt paving and materials production.

Your new role

  • Operate an asphalt plant to produce various asphalt mixes
  • Previous experience batching and loading trucks preferred
  • Monitor asphalt plant controls ensuring within operating range
  • Perform and record routine maintenance on asphalt plant and associated equipment
  • Document production quantities, material inventories, and other daily reports as necessary
  • Flexibility to work for extended periods of time/rotating shifts including nights, holidays & weekends, seasonally.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent planning, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Welding and Oxy/acetylene torch experience is an asset.
  • Ability to travel to additional plant locations to support operational requirements.
  • Valid G class driver's license required.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Computer skills required to operate plant software
  • A mechanically inclined individual with the ability to weld and perform other fabrications is an asset.
  • Physically fit individual with the ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions
  • Previous experience with asphalt plants is preferred.
