Your new role

The Inventory Control Specialist is instrumental in managing our inventory systems, ensuring accuracy, and driving continuous process improvements. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, a firm command of fundamental computer applications, and the ability to excel both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

  • Reconcile completed lots to ensure all material usage and production outputs are accurately posted into the inventory system.
  • Conduct routine physical inventory counts and cycle counts, meticulously recording and verifying stock levels to maintain inventory accuracy. Take proactive measures to address and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Coordinate year-end physical count.
  • Provide daily updates of inventory KPIs to management and the supply chain team.
  • Serves as the primary resource for SAP ERP system transactions within the warehouse. Train and support staff to ensure consistent and correct usage of the system, including posting reconciliation discrepancies and documenting system processes.
  • Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to identify gaps in current procedures. Propose and implement process improvements aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, reducing losses, and mitigating risk within the inventory management lifecycle.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum of 3 years’ proven work experience in a warehouse setting with hands-on inventory management experience with a strong preference for manufacturing in the nutraceutical or pharmaceutical industry
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong Mechanical and operations processes comprehension
  • Excellent knowledge of production planning and control principles
  • Experience with an ERP system (SAP ideal)
  • Strong math and statistics abilities (MS Suite & Excel)
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
