Your new role

In this role, you will be reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. You will be overseeing existing buildings in the portfolio before joining a brand-new build that is set for occupancy later this year. You will be working closely with the Maintenance Supervisor, Property Manager, and Property Administrator. Once you pass your probation, this will be a live-in role. You will be a part of a team of caretakers that oversee the entirety of the portfolio.
Responsibilities will include:
  • Complete service requests, supervise contractors, conduct minor repairs, and handle emergency maintenance.
  • Conduct regular audits, recommend preventative measures, and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
  • Oversee emergency response tests, establish safety procedures, and work on call as scheduled.
  • Perform move-in and move-out inspections, report deficiencies, and understand legal obligations related to tenant agreements.
  • Respond to maintenance requests, schedule work, and collaborate with Property Leasing Administrators.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and handle tenant inquiries professionally.
  • Completes caretaker checklist prior to move in and reports any deficiencies, move out inspection reports and notifies property management team.

What you'll need to succeed

  • 3+ years maintenance experience.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience with / knowledge of RTA and lease agreements
  • Ability to work on call (rotation-based schedule) and be available for emergencies.
