Our client, a reputable and growing construction company specializing in new home construction, stacked and townhome developments, and low-rise buildings in the central Ottawa area. Priding themselves on delivering high-quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer service, they are seeking to add a full-time Carpenter to the team.
Your new role
As a Residential Carpenter with start-to-finish experience, you will play a crucial role in bringing our residential projects to life. You will be responsible for a wide range of carpentry duties, from framing and sheathing to interior and exterior finishing. You will work closely with other tradespeople and project managers, contributing your expertise and ensuring the successful completion of each project. This is a hands-on role that demands a strong understanding of residential construction practices, excellent problem-solving skills, tool access and mandatory license with vehicle access.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum of 3-5 years within residential carpentry, preferably new builds
- Proven experience in all aspects of residential carpentry, from framing to finishing
- Installing drywall, subflooring and baseboards, cabinets and countertops, windows and more
- Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Vehicle with tool access
