Hays Construction & Development is partnering with our long-time ICI GC client in Ottawa to recruit for the role of Estimator to join their team right away!

The company is a specialist in Tenant Improvement/Fit Up work. Although they do New Build work too, throughout the city, projects range in scope up to $2-5M.

As an Estimator, you will work in a team environment to successfully win bids for your team.

To do this, you will regularly attend pre-bid meetings and attend job showings, provide accurate quantity take-offs and estimates.

You will be responsible for identifying and chasing leads as well.

To be considered, you should have at least 3–5 years of experience as an Estimator in a similar professional construction environment.

You must be adept at analyzing drawings, specs and contract documents. You should be able to quickly deal with subs quotes and prepare pre-qualification documents.

You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be highly organized and have great attention to detail too.
