Our client is a leading Oil & Gas firm looking to hire Cybersecurity-focused Architect for a hybrid 6-month contract with possibility of extension.

Your new role

1. Understanding and Assessment:
   • Develop a complete understanding of technology and information systems.
   • Assess the existing security architecture and identify gaps and risks.
2. Security Solution Design:
   • Design, build, and implement enterprise-class security systems.
   • Align security strategy and infrastructure with overall business and technology goals.
3. Threat Mitigation:
   • Identify and communicate current and emerging security threats.
   • Design security architecture elements to proactively mitigate threats.
4. Technical Expertise:
   • Plan, research, and design robust security architectures for IT projects.
   • Supervise vulnerability testing, risk analyses, and security assessments.
5. Trellix Environment:
   • Quickly understand Trellix environment with limited support.
   • Provide recommendations on ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) and Endpoint upgrades, configuration changes.
   • Suggest new functionality and potential use (within scope).
   • Evaluate upgrade approaches, considering pros and cons.
6. Technical Upgrades:
   • Execute technical upgrade tasks for ePO and Endpoint upgrades.
   • Test changes across environments (test, qual, prod), including Endpoint agents.
   • Troubleshoot within the Trellix environment and coordinate with other SMEs.
7. Process Improvement:
   • Provide guidance on process, procedure, and SOP changes for streamlined management.

What you'll need to succeed

1. Trellix Endpoint Protection Expertise:
   • Minimum 5 years of experience in Trellix Endpoint Protection architecture and deployment.
   • Proficiency as a Solution Architect and/or specialist in this domain.
2. ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) Configuration:
   • In-depth knowledge of ePO functions and limitations.
   • Specifically, familiarity with targeted versions is preferred.
3. Trellix Endpoint Security:
   • A deep understanding of Trellix Endpoint Security and its components.
4. Policy Management:
   • Experience in analyzing and setting policies within ePO.
5. ePO Deployment and Upgrades:
   • Hands-on experience in configuring, deploying, and upgrading ePO.
6. Trellix Agent Management:
   • Proficiency in configuring, deploying, and upgrading Trellix agents for both Windows and Linux operating systems.
7. Troubleshooting and Complex Environment:
   • Ability to troubleshoot complex Trellix environments with multiple ePO instances and hundreds of endpoints.
   • Familiarity with firewalls, servers, and other network devices within this environment.
8. Network Performance Testing:
   • Experience in setting up and conducting tests to ensure that Trellix infrastructure deployment does not adversely impact network performance.
9. Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Deployment:
   • Exposure to deploying security solutions in an ICS environment.
   • Familiarity with multiple separate business units, PERA Levels, and critical SCADA systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus.
• Proven experience in cybersecurity architecture and risk management.
