The VP of Procurement will be responsible for leading the development and execution of a national procurement strategy that ensures competitive, ethical, and transparent sourcing practices. This role oversees the establishment of purchasing policies, the full lifecycle of sourcing initiatives, and the creation of long‑term category strategies across materials, services, and trade contractors. The leader will develop procurement frameworks, policies, and processes that drive efficiency, cost savings, and compliance, while actively monitoring market trends, supply risks, and pricing fluctuations. They will collaborate closely with Finance and Operations on budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, and provide executive leadership with clear metrics that demonstrate procurement’s ROI and organizational value.

The ideal candidate brings extensive procurement experience supporting a diverse portfolio of properties across Canada, with a proven ability to partner with operations to understand frontline needs, troubleshoot urgent challenges, and validate vendor performance. They will lead a high‑performing procurement team focused on collaboration and continuous improvement, overseeing end‑to‑end sourcing, managing a national supplier base, and negotiating contracts that deliver strong value, compliance, and measurable cost savings. This leader will also drive team development, serve as the organization’s primary resource for procurement guidance, and work closely with senior stakeholders to align procurement initiatives with overall business strategy. Additionally, the VP of Procurement will ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements, implement risk‑mitigation and lead the optimization of procurement technologies.
