• Sourcing and underwriting commercial mortgage opportunities across a range of asset classes
• Structuring financing solutions that balance risk, return, and market competitiveness
• Preparing investment memos and credit submissions for internal approval
• Managing transaction execution, including coordination with legal counsel, brokers, and internal stakeholders
• Monitoring portfolio performance and supporting asset-level decision-making
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with borrowers, brokers, and market participants
• Contributing to market intelligence and staying informed on regional real estate trends
• Collaborating closely with internal teams across credit, legal, asset management, and servicing

What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial mortgage lending, underwriting, or real estate finance
• Strong understanding of commercial real estate lending structures and credit analysis
• Proven ability to independently manage transactions from origination to closing
• Ability to structure deals with a balanced view of risk, return, and competitive positioning
• Strong relationship management and business development skills
• Solid understanding of the Quebec real estate market and lending environment (civil law framework)
• Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written)
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• High level of autonomy, accountability, and initiative

• Existing network within the Quebec and/or Atlantic real estate lending community
• Experience with CMHC-insured financing
• CFA or other real estate / finance-related designations
