POS Technical Analyst

Location: Toronto

Rate: $25–$28/h T4

Duration: 1 year contract

Your New Role

As a Technical Consultant, you will take on a senior, customer‑facing position responsible for configuring and deploying digital solutions such as mobile applications, kiosks, POS systems, and other internal and third‑party software.

You will act as a central point of contact between operations and internal technical teams, ensuring smooth delivery, accuracy, and a best‑in‑class user experience. You will manage configurations end‑to‑end, troubleshoot complex challenges, and propose improvements that directly enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with Compass Digital and Compass Group Operations teams to collect and validate all necessary information for accurate configuration.
Structure and input menu data to optimize clarity, usability, and customer experience.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex configuration issues while collaborating with internal teams and operations for timely resolution.
Manage project timelines and communicate progress and risks to stakeholders.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on internal and third‑party applications, with strong knowledge of capabilities, limitations, and upcoming features.
Advise operations teams by recommending best solutions and identifying opportunities for process or feature improvements.
Engage with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to suggest new enhancements that elevate the customer journey.
Ensure a seamless transition during software implementations and provide post‑launch support when required.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

A post‑secondary degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in software configuration, technical consulting, or a similar role.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Outstanding communication skills and comfort working with both internal teams and external clients.
Proven experience leading or facilitating meetings, offering insights and actionable recommendations.
Experience with Jira or other project management tools (asset).
A proactive mindset, eagerness to learn, and strong problem‑solving capabilities.
A mix of technical expertise, leadership, and customer‑facing experience — ideal for someone passionate about technology and customer success.
