Your New Role
As Supervisor, Fund Accounting – Private Assets (Capital Event), you will oversee the day-to-day execution of the Capital Event process, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to client service level agreements. This leadership role involves managing workflows, supervising staff, and driving process improvements while maintaining compliance and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the Capital Event process to ensure timely and accurate execution.
  • Review funds’ partnership agreements, PPMs, and related documentation.
  • Monitor workflow and collaborate with management to allocate resources effectively.
  • Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate Capital Event processes into broader workflows.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Senior Fund Accountants and Fund Accountants, providing guidance and support.
  • Assign tasks, set expectations, and provide regular feedback to improve team performance.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor quality control metrics and address discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of process performance and generate required reports.
  • Train new team members and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Encourage proactive problem-solving and implement efficiency initiatives.
  • Generate ad hoc reports as needed.
This is a newly created role due to business growth, with a clear progression path to Manager and then Vice President positions.

What You’ll Need to Succeed
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (CPA designation is a plus).
  • Experience: 4+ years of fund accounting experience in Private Equity/Private Assets or similar financial institutions.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of general ledgers, financial statements, and private equity fund mechanics.
  • Leadership: Proven supervisory experience and ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word); experience with FIS Investran PE accounting platform is highly desirable.
