About the Company
Our client is a well-established and respected General Contractor specializing in ICI (Industrial, Commercial, Institutional) construction across Alberta. With a strong pipeline of projects and a reputation for delivering high-quality work, they are looking to add an experienced Travelling Superintendent to support projects throughout the province.
The Opportunity
As a Travelling Superintendent, you will take full responsibility for on-site construction activities across multiple projects throughout Alberta. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is open to rotational travel assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all on-site construction activities from mobilization through to completion
- Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring schedule, quality, and safety standards are met
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and site staff
- Maintain and enforce project schedules and proactively address delays
- Ensure compliance with OH&S regulations and company safety standards
- Conduct site meetings and provide regular progress updates to project stakeholders
- Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure seamless project delivery
- Maintain accurate daily reports, site documentation, and deficiencies tracking
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent within ICI construction
- Proven experience overseeing projects such as commercial buildings, schools, healthcare, or light industrial developments
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and site logistics
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Solid leadership and communication skills
- Willingness to travel and work on projects across Alberta (LOA provided where applicable)
