Superintendent - Commercial / Light Industrial Projects - Local General Contractor

Your new company

Our client is an established General Contractor based in the Vancouver Lower Mainland, renowned for delivering construction services across a portfolio of commercial and light industrial projects. The company places a high value on its people, fostering a collaborative, family-like work environment that has resulted in long-term employee retention and a culture of mutual respect and support. The projects this company typically undertakes include large-scale warehouses, distribution centres, new commercial builds, as well as additions and renovations. With a strong track record of steady growth, they continue to expand and are looking to add a Superintendent to join their team.

Your new role

As Superintendent, you will lead the execution of commercial construction projects ranging from $10 million to $20 million. This will likely be a traditional tilt-up warehouse or tilt-up structure incorporating insulated steel components, located in areas such as Surrey, Richmond, or Delta. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time and to specification, coordinating daily site operations with owners, architects, sub-trades, and suppliers. Your role will be critical in maintaining project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and safety compliance.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a General Contractor or Developer-Builder in the local market. A proven track record of managing commercial or institutional new builds is essential. Experience with Tilt-Up construction is a strong asset. A background in carpentry or formal education in engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred. This role requires advanced problem-solving abilities, strong organizational skills, and effective leadership.

What you'll get in return

In return for your expertise and commitment, you’ll receive a competitive compensation package including base salary, performance bonus, and comprehensive benefits. You’ll be part of a growing organization supported by an engaged ownership group, providing the resources and backing needed to help you succeed. You’ll also be working with a reputable company known for delivering successful projects and maintaining a stable, experienced workforce.
