Your new role

As the Studio Design Manager, you step into a senior leadership position dedicated to elevating the efficiency, quality, and creative excellence of the design studio. You will guide the execution of all studio projects, ensuring outstanding design outcomes, strong operational performance, and consistent delivery that reflects the studio’s standards of excellence.
In close collaboration with Creative Design Managers and Studio Operations, you champion design integrity, motivate high‑performing teams, and ensure that resources, schedules, and project scopes are aligned for success. As a visible ambassador for the studio, you bring confidence, clarity, and a passion for design to both client relationships and internal partnerships.


What you'll need to succeed

  • A Bachelor of Applied Arts (Interior Design) or a Bachelor of Architecture from a recognized institution
  • At least 10 years of experience delivering large‑scale, complex design projects
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and lead diverse, high‑performing design teams
  • A strong portfolio in hospitality, food & beverage, multi‑unit residential, and retail design
  • Experience collaborating with major hotel brands, residential developers, and marine‑focused projects
  • International and multi‑disciplinary project exposure (considered an asset)
  • Professional credentials such as NCIDQ, BCIN, or ARIDO membership (preferred)
  • LEED accreditation (an asset)
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, including XREF management
  • Working knowledge of Revit
  • Strong capability with Bluebeam Revu (required)
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (an asset)
  • Experience using project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Deltek)
  • Comprehensive understanding of building codes, regulations, and compliance requirements
