In your new role, you’ll prepare detailed structural designs for residential, commercial, institutional, and heritage buildings. Contribute to the development of preliminary structural design concepts. Collaborate with the project team from concept through to project completion. Assist in reviewing and checking design work completed by other engineers. Maintain thorough design and checking notes to ensure quality compliance for assigned project portions. Support quality assurance by documenting and tracking design decisions throughout the project.

The successful candidate will hold a civil engineering degree from an accredited university with structural design and analysis electives. Registered or eligible for P.Eng.with APEGA and has over 5 years’ experience in a structural engineering firm. Experienced in mid-rise wood frame, mass timber connections, concrete transfer slabs, and low-rise steel retail structures. Strong conceptual design skills with a focus on constructability and high attention to detail. Demonstrates excellent organizational, time-management, and communication abilities. Familiar with SAP, SAFE, or ETABS structural software and committed to client service and technical excellence.
