• Own and evolve the technical architecture for backend IT and OT platforms, including data centres, networks, cloud environments, hosting platforms, middleware, identity, cybersecurity tooling, and end‑user computing.
• Ensure architectures support both enterprise IT workloads and industrial OT environments
• Design for availability, performance, safety, security, and operational resilience

• Define and oversee enterprise‑wide network architectures spanning corporate, site, and OT networks
• Own hosting and compute architectures across on‑prem, private cloud, public cloud, and hybrid environments
• Ensure appropriate segmentation, redundancy, and failover across IT/OT landscapes

• Define cloud architecture patterns and technical guardrails
• Own middleware and integration platform architectures supporting enterprise, data, and industrial systems
• Ensure platforms enable reliable, scalable integration across complex environments

• Embed cybersecurity‑by‑design across technical architectures
• Partner closely with cybersecurity teams to align with standards, threat models, and regulatory requirements
• Assess and mitigate technical risks related to legacy platforms, OT environments, and site constraints.

• Act as a senior technical authority for solution design, major incidents, and complex challenges
• Provide hands‑on guidance to engineers, integrators, and vendors through design, build, testing, and deployment
• Review and challenge technical designs to ensure architectural integrity and operational viability

• Identify opportunities to reduce complexity through standardization and modernization
• Define repeatable technical patterns and reference architectures
• Capture lessons learned from outages and implementations to improve resilience and reliability

• 11–15 years of progressive experience in mining & metals, or other heavy industries like Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Energy or Manufacturing.
• Experience or background in one of the following areas:
• Exploration or Geoscience
• Mining Engineering or Mine Planning
• Mineral Processing or Metallurgy
• Demonstrated experience partnering with IT, AI & Analytics delivery teams to ensure technical solutions selection and successful project implementation at scale
• Experience developing and executing multi‑year technology or digital roadmaps
• Proven capability in building relationships and influencing at leadership level, budget management, governance, and value realization
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently to our exploration, mining and refining sites.

• Deep technical expertise across infrastructure, networking, hosting, cloud, identity, and end‑user platforms
• Strong understanding of hybrid IT/OT architectures
• Ability to design large‑scale systems with high availability, resilience, and recoverability
• Hands‑on technical leadership and incident support experience
• Strong communication skills across technical and non‑technical audiences
• Calm, methodical, and disciplined approach in high‑pressure environments
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and safety awareness
• Fluent in English, Portuguese is a strong asset.
