Your new role

The Site Superintendent is the on-site leader responsible for managing all aspects of single-family construction projects. From safety and compliance to scheduling and quality control, this role ensures that every home is built to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site inspections and hazard assessments to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Lead safety meetings and enforce adherence to safety protocols.
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform quality inspections throughout all stages of construction.
  • Ensure materials and workmanship meet project specifications and building codes.
  • Manage final walkthroughs and deficiency lists.
  • Track expenses and verify subcontractor invoices against budget allocations.
  • Monitor material usage and optimize procurement strategies.
  • Assign labor and equipment efficiently to maintain project timelines.
  • Provide regular progress updates to project stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and site conditions.
  • Participate in weekly construction meetings and ensure permit compliance.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Site Superintendent in residential construction, preferably single-family homes.
  • Strong knowledge of Alberta Building Code and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve on-site challenges.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and reporting tools.
