Are you a seasoned leader in custom millwork production looking to take the next step in your career? Our client, a well-established and respected millwork company based in Calgary, is seeking a
Shop Foreman
to lead their production team and ensure the highest standards of craftsmanship and efficiency.


About the Role:
As Shop Foreman, you’ll be the cornerstone of the shop floor, overseeing daily operations, managing a skilled team of cabinetmakers and installers, and ensuring projects are completed on time and to spec. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional work.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise shop staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management
  • Coordinate workflow and production timelines to meet project deadlines
  • Maintain quality control standards across all millwork products
  • Collaborate with project managers and design teams to ensure seamless execution
  • Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized shop environment
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement process improvements


What We’re Looking For:
  • 5+ years of experience in architectural millwork or custom cabinetry (asset)
  • Proven leadership experience in a shop or production environment
  • Strong understanding of woodworking machinery, tools, and materials
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and team development
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting
