Your New Role
As Senior Vice President, Fund Accounting – Institutional Services, you will play a pivotal role in building and leading a new line of business within the Fund Administration division. This is a strategic leadership position focused on client relationship management, operational excellence, and team development. You’ll work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless onboarding, superior client service, and continuous process improvement. Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish best practice protocols and a robust training program for new staff to ensure top-tier client service delivery.
  • Partner with Client Integration and Operations teams to manage onboarding of new institutional clients.
  • Maintain and enhance client relationships through proactive monitoring and development of service level agreements.
  • Collaborate with Executive Management on presentations to existing and prospective clients.
  • Liaise internally with onshore and offshore teams to ensure operational effectiveness and alignment with client requirements.
  • Conduct regular client visits to evaluate service quality and identify priorities.
  • Oversee resolution of complex client issues in partnership with other Vice Presidents and functional groups.
  • Supervise adherence to departmental procedures and policies, ensuring strong escalation and complaints management.
  • Lead client conference calls and manage reporting requirements and deadlines.
  • Perform continuous risk assessment for current and potential new funds under administration.
  • Manage staffing requirements, work forecasting, and allocation strategies.
  • Provide monthly KPI reporting and operational risk updates to clients and executive management.
  • Actively participate in departmental and company-wide projects.
    This is a newly created role due to business growth, with a clear and structured path to an Executive Vice President (EVP) position.

What You’ll Need to Succeed
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a professional accounting designation.
  • Experience: 7–10 years in financial services, preferably with exposure to Fund Accounting, Product Control, or Operations.
  • Leadership: 5–7 years managing staff, with proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth experience with Fund of Funds structures and exposure to private equity and hedge fund investments.
  • Client Management: Skilled in onboarding, relationship building, and managing complex client requirements.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to lead presentations, collaborate with senior leadership, and drive operational improvements.
  • Technology: Familiarity with fund administration platforms or ability to learn quickly.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel to U.S. locations (Boston, New York) once or twice per quarter for 1–2 days at a time.
