Your new role

Manage the planning, design, and execution of structural engineering projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
Produce detailed structural designs and drawings using appropriate software, while reviewing and approving technical phases for compliance with industry standards. Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to maintain clear communication and resolve structural-related conflicts. Maintain strong client relationships through regular contact, high service quality, and identifying opportunities for new business development. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff, supporting their professional growth and project contributions. Participate in site visits, client meetings, and presentations, while staying current with technological advancements in structural engineering.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will Hold a degree in structural engineering and active registration as a P.Eng. with APEGA, or another provincial association. They will demonstrate expertise in structural design software such as Risa3D, ETABS, and SAFE, along with proven experience designing multi-family residential buildings in steel; timber frame design experience is considered an asset. Additionally, they will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines. Self-motivated and organized, capable of managing multiple priorities independently and meeting tight deadlines.
