A well‑established owner and operator of a major regional shopping centre is seeking an experienced Senior Property Administrator
to join their on‑site management team on a 12‑month contract.

Reporting to the Property Manager, this role will oversee day‑to‑day property administration functions, provide leadership to a team of Property Administrators, and ensure accurate lease administration and accounts receivable processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail‑oriented professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative retail real estate environment.
Your new role
Lease Administration
- Review, interpret, and enter retail and office leases into property management systems
- Validate tenant rental charges, recurring billings, and retroactive adjustments
- Maintain GLA inventory and ensure lease set‑ups reflect certified areas
- Oversee tenant documentation and provide guidance on lease clause interpretation
Accounts Receivable & Collections
- Manage cash receipts (cheques, EFTs, wires, PADs)
- Lead AR collection activities, including tenant communication and arrears resolution
- Prepare rental advice notices, tenant packages, and demand/default notices as required
- Complete reconciliations and investigate billing discrepancies
Billing, Accruals & Financial Support
- Prepare manual billings, tenant chargebacks, and percentage rent
- Complete monthly revenue accruals and monitor tenant allowance tracking
- Support budgeting and reforecasting activities
Reporting & Analysis
- Produce monthly reporting including rent rolls, audit reports, occupancy, and sales
- Perform variance analysis and estimate missing sales data
Team Leadership
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to the Property Administration team
- Act as the primary liaison between the team and Property Manager
- Participate in regular management and office meetings
What you'll need to succeed
- Post‑secondary education in Business Administration, Property Management, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in shopping centre or commercial property administration
- Strong working knowledge of property management systems (e.g., Yardi, JDE) and MS Office
- Proven experience leading or mentoring administrative teams
- Highly organized, analytical, and able to manage competing priorities
- Proactive, self‑motivated, and detail‑driven
