Your new role

As a Senior Project Manager in Heavy Civils, you will initially oversee the Ridley Island Energy Export Facility project, which involves the removal of 2 million square meters of dirt. This will be a 20 day on and 10 day of rotation position. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in heavy civil construction and be adept at managing change, accurately forecasting projects, and value engineering costing. A key focus will be on financial performance, risk management, and daily burn rates. You will use Heavy Bid tracking to manage the project’s many moving parts and maintain an excellent rapport with the client, who places significant trust in our financial management.

In this role, you will manage the Ridley Island Energy Export Facility project dealing with change management, accurate project forecasting, and value engineering costing. You will focus on ensuring the project is financially viable, identifying and managing risks, and monitoring daily burn rates. You will use Heavy Bid tracking to keep track of the project’s numerous components and maintain a strong relationship with the client, ensuring transparency and trust in financial matters.

What you'll need to succeed

IDL requires a minimum of 10 years of Project Management experience in heavy civil construction. Proven experience in managing large-scale earthworks projects is essential. Strong financial acumen, including experience with change management, project forecasting, and value engineering costing, is crucial. Proficiency in Heavy Bid tracking and excellent communication and leadership abilities are a must. A formal education in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent construction programs is favourable. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, solutions-oriented leader with a high attention to detail and a strong understanding of construction and financial management.
