This role is for a driven individual who is looking to progress into the Financial Controller position.

Your new role

  • Support the Financial Controller in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, and inventory.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements, corporate tax reports, and ensuring compliance with tax filings (including sales and use tax).
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of accounting processes, controls, and documentation standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting and reporting matters.
  • Participate in ERP system implementation and optimization projects.
  • Provide guidance to junior accounting staff and contribute to team development.
  • Take initiative to expand your financial leadership skills, preparing for future advancement opportunities.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • CPA designation (or candidate for Common Final Examination).
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within the retail industry or industry with heavy supply chain exposure.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and internal control principles.
  • Advanced proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Excel (pivot tables, lookups, macros).
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to explain financial concepts to non-finance teams.
  • Flexibility, initiative, and a drive to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese language skills are an asset.
