My client is a global manufacturing operation with its head office located in Mississauga.
Your New Role
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for financial reporting and operational analysis with assigned plants within North America.
Key Responsibilities
  • The Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of each plant’s support team and works closely with plant management to:
    • Provide analytical support
    • Assist in the development/enhancement of reporting processes
    • Provide recommendations to improve internal controls and profitability
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly operating statements along with supporting analysis and commentary for:
    • Senior Management
    • Shareholders
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly KPI’s for:
    • Plant Management
    • Manufacturing Directors
    • Assists in the development of new KPI’s
  • Acts as a key liaison for the Plant Manager in overseeing/evaluating his/her plant by:
    • Explaining financial information to managers with a non-financial background
  • Prepares, analyzes, and publishes reporting packages with data integrity for review by:
    • Plant Managers
    • Manufacturing Directors
    • VP Operations
    • Global Head Office
    • Used to analyze operations and make strategic decisions
  • During the planning process, is expected to be capable of performing business modeling (what-if scenarios)

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally hold a completed CPA designation with 5+ years of progressive financial analytical, cost accounting experience. You will possess a strong understanding of cost and management accounting including budgeting through previous experience in a large multi-site manufacturing environment. Solid understanding of accounting policies including IFRS and GAAP. You will be proficient working in an advanced ERP environment (preferably JDE experience) along with advanced Excel skills. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-focused and commitment to meet challenging deadlines which sometimes require a flexible schedule with a professional commitment to maintain confidentiality. Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, look for opportunities to continuously improve, and collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure consistency in reporting methodology
