Our client, a leading developer in Edmonton’s multifamily residential sector, is seeking a Senior Estimator to join their growing team. This is a key role within their Multi-Family Division, responsible for delivering accurate cost estimates, managing budgets, and supporting project execution for townhome and mid-rise developments.

This is a key role within their Multi-Family Division, responsible for delivering accurate cost estimates, managing budgets, and supporting project execution for townhome and mid-rise developments.
This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and brings strong experience in estimating, purchasing, and contract review.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and reliable cost estimates for townhome and mid-rise projects
- Develop and manage project budgets aligned with internal and external stakeholders
- Lead and mentor junior estimators, ensuring accuracy and productivity
- Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize costs without compromising quality
- Review design drawings and specifications for compliance and feasibility
- Manage tender processes, trade selection, and contract execution
- Maintain and update ERP systems (HomeFront, BuildPro, SupplyPro)
- Provide custom pricing for retail options and support feasibility studies during land acquisition
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Architectural Technologies, Quantity Surveying, or related field
- 5+ years of residential construction experience, preferably in multifamily projects
- Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, Revit); ERP systems experience is an asset
- Strong understanding of the Alberta Building Code
- Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
Preferred Skills
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings
- Advanced Excel and MS Project skills
- Experience in new home building and working in a collaborative team environment
