Your new role

As a
Construction Administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction phase of architectural projects, ensuring that the design intent is upheld and that construction progresses efficiently. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Reviewing RFIs, shop drawings, and site instructions.
  • Conducting site visits and preparing field reports.
  • Coordinating with consultants and contractors to resolve construction-related issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with contract documents and specifications.
  • Supporting the project team with documentation and communication throughout the construction process.

What you'll need to succeed

  • To be successful in this role, you should have:
    • At least 5 years of experience in construction administration within an architectural firm.
    • Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and contract administration.
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
    • A degree in Architecture or a related field; registration with a professional body is an asset.
    • A collaborative mindset and a passion for culturally meaningful design.
