A high-end architectural company with decades of expertise are hiring a Senior Accountant.
As Senior Accountant/Project Accountant , you will manage the full accounting cycle and maintain the organization’s financial integrity. This includes daily accounting operations, month-end and year-end reporting, cash flow and payroll management, project accounting, and providing strategic financial insights to leadership.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle accounting for all entities, including monthly and year-end financial statements.
Prepare budgets, monitor variances, and provide regular financial analysis to management.
Maintain consistent accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Prepare and issue client invoices and credit memos (Canada and U.S.); record payments and follow up on collections.
Receive and process vendor, consultant, and contractor invoices; issue payments as required.
Process employee expense claims and maintain organized financial records.
Prepare payroll information and coordinate with the outsourced payroll provider to ensure accuracy.
Manage cash flow and perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
Track project profitability and support principals and project managers to meet financial targets.
Coordinate with external accountants for year-end statements and filings.
Support management with ad hoc financial analysis and process improvement
Qualification, Skills and Experience:
CPA designation required.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance
Experience with ERP systems.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and interruptions.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Strong command of written and spoken English.
