HIRING: SENIOR ACCOUNTANT IN CORNWALL

Location: Cornwall, Ontario on site

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support financial operations and ensure accurate reporting across multiple projects. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with experience in construction or manufacturing and a strong foundation in project accounting. The Senior Accountant will handle complex reconciliations, assist with financial analysis, and collaborate closely with project managers and leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close.
  • Perform job costing and project accounting, ensuring accurate tracking of budgets and expenses.
  • Prepare financial statements, variance analyses, and assist with forecasting.
  • Support internal controls and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers to monitor financial performance and provide insights.
  • Assist with process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Managing cash flow and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Finance to evaluate overall company performance and analyze key performance indicators.

Must-Have Qualifications
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in construction or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of project accounting and job costing.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Salary & Benefits
  • Salary Range: CA$75,000 – CA$90,000 annually.
  • Full benefits package including health, dental and vision care.
  • RRSP with company match.
  • 2 weeks vacation.
