Your new company

Join a Canada ‑ wide engineering firm that specializes in building science, enclosure consulting, restoration, structural engineering, capital planning, and energy services. They support architects, developers, contractors, and property owners with practical, client ‑ focused solutions for both new construction and existing buildings. Their team combines technical depth with a straightforward, relationship ‑ driven approach to help clients extend the life, performance, and value of their assets.

Your new role

Bring a positive attitude and strong work ethic to the team, lead by example, and help create a collaborative, accountable, client‑focused environment while representing Sense Engineering professionally with clients, contractors, and consultants.
Manage restoration projects from early design through completion, including site investigations, technical reports, recommendations, and guidance during construction. Lead proposal development by defining scope, estimating fees, planning schedules and resources, and preparing detailed restoration designs such as scopes of work, specifications, and drawings. Run client and contractor meetings, communicate design updates and key milestones, and oversee tendering and contract administration, including bid preparation, contractor selection, and review of invoices and change orders. Build strong industry relationships by participating in events and networking, support the growth of Sense’s brand, and stay current with industry trends, codes, and best practices. Provide mentorship to junior engineers, contribute to internal knowledge development, handle occasional travel within Canada (mostly Alberta), and take on other duties as needed.

What you'll need to succeed

Hold a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline, and be registered with APEGA or eligible for registration. Bring at least 5 years of experience in building envelope work and/or structural restoration. Understand project management principles, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and managing scope. Communicate clearly in writing and in person, build strong relationships, and earn trust with clients and contractors.
Work with a high level of detail and a client‑focused mindset, while contributing creative thinking, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing within the team. Maintain a valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.

What you'll get in return

The chance to join a growing multi‑disciplinary firm with engineering, project delivery, and construction teams working across Canada, the U.S., and Mexico. Exposure to diverse projects in sectors like energy, infrastructure, and resources. A workplace that genuinely values its people and invests in long‑term career growth. A strong safety‑first culture that guides day‑to‑day work and decision‑making. Meaningful commitment to Indigenous partnerships, community involvement, and environmental responsibility. The stability and support of an established, well‑respected organization with a collaborative, team‑focused environment.
