Your new company
An independently owned and professionally managed construction firm headquartered in Southwestern Ontario, this organization has evolved from its roots in infrastructure into a diversified business offering design-build, construction management, general contracting, and residential development services. With a strong presence across the province, the company is known for delivering quality-driven projects while supporting sustainable and controlled growth within its residential portfolio.

Your new role
As the Home Building Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance and leadership of the residential homebuilding division. This is a senior, hands-on role overseeing all aspects of the business—from sales and pre-construction through to construction delivery and final occupancy.

You will lead a small, cross-functional team while managing multiple active projects simultaneously, ensuring homes are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in line with defined quality and customer experience standards. A key focus of this role is improving operational efficiency, driving margin performance, implementing scalable systems, and supporting the controlled growth of the residential business.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Overseeing day-to-day operations across all active residential projects
  • Leading construction execution, including estimating, scheduling, productivity monitoring, and issue resolution
  • Owning division-level financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management
  • Overseeing sales performance, pricing strategy support, and product consistency
  • Providing leadership to project managers, site supervisors, and trade partners
  • Managing quality assurance, deficiencies, and project closeout processes
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Acting as a key liaison between internal departments, consultants, municipalities, and senior leadership
This is a full-time, permanent, fully in-office position based in Woodstock, Ontario.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring both strong technical expertise and proven leadership experience within residential construction.
You will ideally have:
  • A diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience in residential construction, with a strong focus on low-rise homebuilding
  • Experience managing multiple projects or subdivisions concurrently
  • A solid understanding of the Ontario Building Code and municipal requirements
  • Experience with production homebuilding processes and residential scheduling
  • Strong estimating, budgeting, and cost-control expertise
  • Proficiency with construction management and scheduling software (e.g. MS Project or similar)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills
  • A valid driver’s licence and the ability to travel between job sites
What you'll get in return
In return, you’ll receive a competitive and rewarding compensation package, including:
  • Base salary ranging from $110,000 to $140,000, depending on experience
  • Discretionary annual bonus
  • 3 weeks of vacation
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • 3% RRSP matching
  • Long-term career growth and the opportunity to play a key leadership role in a growing residential business
